Born Crowned

The crown isn't something she earned. It's something she remembered. I painted her tilted skyward — not in arrogance, but in recognition. The gold crown nestled in her deep burgundy afro sits the way all birthright should: naturally, without effort, as if it always belonged. Her rope chain, thick as legacy, drapes over her chest like an heirloom passed through bloodlines that predated kingdoms. The sky blue behind her is calm and deliberate — the kind of peace that only comes when a woman knows exactly who she is. She is not performing royalty. She is it.
